Cooperative Education is a program which combines classroom study with actual work experience in a company or agency in El Paso, nationwide or international.

On-the-job work experience is an integral part of any student's education, and the Cooperative Education Program provides a well-planned, supervised work experience related to you're academic major and your career objectives. Cooperative Education is an academic program where the student receives college credit. Consult with a Cooperative Education instructor within the major that you are pursuing to get their approval, before enrolling in the Co-op Ed. program.

In general, to enter into the Co-op Education program, it's required that you have 30 credit hours, with at least 2.0 GPA and a minimum of two core classes in the major that you are pursuing; or if you were in the Co-op Ed. program in High School.

How Does It Work?
