The Intensive English Program will help you meet your objectives to learn English to enter an academic degree in a US university or to learn English to advance in the workplace.

The mission of the Intensive English Program under the EPCC Language Institute is to successfully prepare students and professionals to acquire English proficiency to meet their personal, academic and career goals. Classes

Our classes focus on developing the students’ ability to use listening/speaking and reading/writing skills while applying the correct grammatical rules.

Faculty members include six full-time faculty who are specialized and experienced ESL instructors and part-time instructors who have extensive experience in teaching ESL.

 Placement Exam

Students are placed into the proficiency level which corresponds with their performance on the program’s placement test, Compass. IEP exam is $5.00 and an appointment is required.

 

--Scores are valid for 6 months from date of placement exam for initial enrollment in classes.

 

--Placement Exam cannot be retaken to enroll in higher levels if already registered in IEP classes and have attended classes within a calendar year.

 

--Placement Exam must be retaken if student enrolled in IEP classes, but has been out of the program for more than one calendar year.

 

Challenge Exam

Testers that are not in agreement with results of placement exam can petition to retake exam immediately after receiving scores.

 

Lower Level Registration

Students can request to be placed in a lower level than placed through the placement exam.

 

Registration without Placement Exam

Students can request to not take the placement exam and start in the first level.
