How Awards are Determined

Financial aid offered is awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit (if a scholarship is included). A student's need is determined by subtracting the amount the family can contribute from the amount it costs to attend the college. The total financial aid eligible, including federal and state student aid programs and other sources for the period of enrollment, when added to the Expected Family Contribution (EFC), cannot exceed the cost of attendance. The cost of attendance established for students attending EPCC for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years is listed below.
