MISSION DEL PASO CAMPUS ALERT
The EPCC Police Department is sending an alert to all faculty, staff and students of the Mission Del Paso Campus to raise the awareness about a Rabid Bat that was caught by the gym area. The bat tested positive for rabies.
At this time the EPCC Police Department is working with animal control to implement measures to deter any more bats from the area. Please be aware of these creatures and do not attempt to capture them or instigate them in any way.
It is also important that no food or water be left out in the open as these can attract not only the bats but other desert creatures.
The EPCC Police Department is sending an alert regarding a recent trend of burglary of vehicles.
In the last two days, four vehicles have been burglarized at the Valle Verde campus and the stereos have been removed.
In three of the cases, the windows to these vehicles have been broken to gain entry. In the most recent case, the window was pulled from the frame to gain access.
The EPCC Police Department is encouraging and recommending that all items of value are removed from the interior of the vehicle, as well as the stereo if removable.
The EPCC Police Department is sending an alert to all owners of Honda Vehicles model years 1991 to 1999.
Recently there have been several Honda Vehicles that have been stolen from EPCC Campuses.
The thefts are mainly occurring at the Valle Verde Campus, however, there have been three vehicles taken from the Rio Grande Campus.
The EPCC Police Department is asking all owners/drivers of Honda vehicles to take extra precautions in securing their cars and to use/install other security devices such as an alarm or a club that secures the steering wheel.
The EPCC Police Department is asking anyone with information on the thefts of these vehicles to come forward and assist in solving these cases.
