 What is Direct Deposit?

Effective January 2006, all employees are required to use Direct Deposit as a means of receiving their payroll funds. Direct Deposit is the electronic deposit of funds to a bank account.


 What are the benefits to the employee?

With Direct Deposit of your pay, you will:


  • Have immediate access to your funds.
  • Use your lunch hour for lunch instead of waiting in line at
    a bank to deposit or cash your check.
  • Consequently, save valuable time and money in gasoline.
  • Eliminate the possibility of lost, stolen or forged checks.
  • Have your pay deposited while away from the office on payday.


 How do I enroll in Direct Deposit?

  • If you already have a bank account, simply fill out the Direct Deposit Form (PDF) and submit it with the required documentation to the attention of Irene Nunez, Payroll Manager, ASC Room A186. The form is also available at the Personnel Services Department ASC Room A130.
  • If you do not have a bank account, you need to pursue opening an account with the financial institution of your choice.
