Welcome to the Chief Information Officer’s website. Technology enriches and complements the College’s teaching, learning, research and administrative endeavors and, therefore, IT is committed to implementing and supporting technologies and support services important to the mission of El Paso Community College.
We are proud of our initiatives and the new technology that has been integrated into the teaching and learning environment for our students, faculty and staff. Through the Master Plan and Strategic Plan, we are continuously introducing major initiatives and system upgrades to bring you the latest, most secure, dependable and innovative information technology infrastructure.
The Orion Project, a high-speed Community Network connecting El Paso’s independent networks, is another major initiative that its founding members (EPCC, UTEP and EPISD) are continuously enhancing to deliver online access for K-Gray education.
I am grateful to the President for his vision and continued support. I am also grateful to my Leadership Team and the many students, faculty and staff who have provided their expertise and creativity, contributed their time, shared their ideas, and provided feedback as we continue to undergo major changes for the betterment of our institution and student life.
As the Chief Information Officer for the District, I am charged with providing leadership in the use of information technology resources and support throughout the institution. Open communication is critical to our success, so I welcome your input in identifying the technological needs and opportunities for EPCC. This is an exciting time for the College and our vision for the future is simple…to prepare our students, through the best technologies, to face an increasingly complex and information-rich world.
