You may start by filling out an application, and must qualify for the Honors Programs.

 Enhanced Honors Program

The Enhanced Honors Program

    • The student and the faculty will commit to a collaborative mentorship where the student will complete a research paper meeting certain requirements.
    • At the end of the semester, the students will present/defend their papers before a committee, the student’s mentor and peers, by outlining their research project, discoveries, controversies, and conclusions.
    • Upon approval of the committee, the student’s research paper will be uploaded into the Honors Program Webpage.

 UTEP Transfer

El Paso Community College and the University of Texas at El Paso share mutual interests regarding the availability and quality of higher education in West and Southwest Texas.

The Honors Program provides opportunity and encouragement to academically motivated students.

  • Design projects with your instructors
  • Receive a certificate or awards at the yearly Honors Program Convocation
  • Honors students who earn 15 or more honors credit in three different subject areas will have the designation "WITH COLLEGE HONORS" placed on their transcript and diploma
  • Transfer honors credit to UTEP
  • Open doors to advanced study and scholarships
  • Participate in special Honors Program activities
  • Honors credits will be used as a tie breaker in the ranking process for students competing for a seat in a EPCC Allied Health Program(s) of their choice
  • Improve your resume
