 Title IX/VAWA Notification

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance.

In accordance with the Violence Against Women Act’s (VAWA) SAVE Act provisions, the El Paso Community College prohibits stalking, date violence, sexual violence, and domestic violence of all students, employees or visitors. Suspected or actual incidents are to be immediately reported by the victim or anyone with knowledge to the College’s Title IX Co-Coordinator for either employees or students or, in the event of sexual assault/violence, the El Paso Community College Police Department.

Administrators, supervisors and faculty who have information regarding, are witness to, or become aware of any form of sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, inappropriate sexual behavior, and/or criminal activity are required to report the incident immediately.

Complaints of violations under Title IX or VAWA may be directed to the following Title IX Co-Coordinators:
