 Online Teaching

El Paso Community College uses Blackboard Learn is an LMS (Learning Management System) which is the tool used by EPCC to deliver online, hybrid and enhanced courses. The Distance Learning department provides training and support to prepare faculty to use Blackboard. Once training is completed Faculty have access to a 24/7 EPCC Blackboard Helpdesk for support.

 

The Distance Learning staff uses EPCC email to communicate with faculty. Remember to check your EPCC email regularly using Outlook or Outlook Web Access.

 Blackboard Certification Training

If you are interested in teaching online courses at EPCC, you must be Blackboard Certified. Distance Learning Support Services offers several certification trainings per semester both online and face-to-face. This same certification training will also prepare you to enhance your onsite course with Blackboard.

DLSS offers additional trainings throughout the semester to review, enrich and refine Blackboard skills. All DLSS trainings earn you faculty development credit.
