El Paso Community College is committed to providing an excellent educational experience for online students. However, if a current student has a complaint, s/he should first follow the EPCC complaint process.
Information on student grade appeals and non-academic student grievances is found in the EPCC Catalog under the Student Code of Conduct. Additional information is found in the Student Handbook. The Student Comment Form may also be used to report a complaint.
Students are advised to first attempt to resolve complaints with EPCC administration. In most cases, these complaint procedures require students to use all complaint possibilities internal to the institution before a complaint is filed at the state or accrediting agency level.
If the complaint is unresolved, a student may file a complaint with the designated agency in the state where s/he is receiving instruction or with EPCC's accrediting agency.
EPCC is a member of NC-SARA, The National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement and recognizes reciprocity with all states who are members of the SARA organization (opens in a new window). Students in SARA states may file a complaint with the agency in their state, or with the Texas SARA portal agency; contact information for both is provided below.
