National Multicultural Interpreter Project

The National Multicultural Interpreter Project was a five year grant, funded by the U. S. Department of Education Office of Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA), began in January 1996 and continued through December 2000 at El Paso Community College. The project provided program assistance, as applicable, to the other 11 RSA Interpreter Training Projects who provided interpreter education and training opportunities to all 50 states, including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa.
