One of the many roles of Records Management is that it must provide guidance and recommendations to uphold select legislative mandates and laws. We provide many services to support this function, ranging from records management training, creating record control schedules to tailor the needs of each department, and image conversion of hard copy records. Managing electronic records and e-mail is also a responsibility of this area.
The Records Management Department includes the record center. This area is responsible for acquiring non-current records in hard copy, organizing, and storing long term records of the college. It serves as the colleges’ organization’s memory, documenting past and current activities, and are the basis for future actions. These records serve as informational resources that are essential to the operations of the college and its services to the people of the community. The Records Management program applies systematic and scientific controls to the recorded information required in the operation of the college. Those efforts help ensure that necessary information is accessible and usable, and that the colleges’ records are managed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner. The record center is a centralized and secured area. No access will be permitted to the public. Proper identification will be required in order to enter, obtain or view your records. Storage boxes are provided by the records management department.
