Log into Career Corner and click on the Resource Library to view numerous samples of Resumes, Cover Letters, Resignation Letters and many more! Career Services staff will critique your resume. You can also come into Career Services or log into Career Corner and sign up to attend one of our informative workshops. Cover letter and resume writing workshops are available on a regular basis.
Getting ready for an interview?
It can be an intimidating experience. Come in to Career Services and get tips to prepare for the interview. As you well know the first impression you make has a great impact on whether or not you get the job. Knowing how to dress and what clothes to wear is imperative, and what about make-up? These are valid questions when getting ready for a job interview. Dark colored slacks and a jacket with a solid colored shirt and tie are acceptable for men. Women should wear conservative clothes, preferably a dark colored skirt or pants with a jacket and a button up blouse, closed toe shoes with a conservative heel and minimal make-up and jewelry.
Are one of the best ways to prepare for an actual job interview. It allows you to gain experience and practice in answering questions which you are likely to be asked by an employer. You will also be given coaching and feedback that will definitely improve your self confidence and help you develop an edge over the competition!
