Gracie Quintanilla has served on the El Paso Community College Board of Trustees since 2002, representing the constituents of District 7. She is married to Inocente “Chente” Quintanilla for the past forty-six years and has four daughters: Molly, Yvonne, Yvette, and Sally, as well as eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Quintanilla is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor’s of Administration in Elementary Education and certified in Bilingual Education. She is also a graduate of Durham’s Business College with degrees in Accounting and Secretarial. She is also a lifetime resident of El Paso County, graduating from Tornillo High School in Tornillo, Texas.
A lifetime educator, her experience includes serving six years with the Socorro Independent School District as the Secretary to the Superintendent; twenty-four years as an educator with the Tornillo Independent School District; and two years as a consultant with McGraw-Hill Publishers.
